Pupil Leadership
Every child can be a leader
At Barham Church of England Primary School, we believe that every child can be a leader. Through a range of leadership opportunities, pupils are encouraged to have their voice heard, serve others and make a positive contribution to our school community.
Our pupil leaders help bring our values of being Kind, Confident and Curious to life each day. Through their roles, children learn that leadership is not about being in charge; it is about serving others, taking responsibility and helping everyone to flourish.
Through leadership roles, children develop:
- Communication and Collaboration – sharing ideas, working effectively with others and speaking confidently.
- Responsibility and Initiative – taking ownership, making positive choices and contributing to school life.
- Empathy and Active Listening – understanding others' perspectives and ensuring every voice is heard.
- Confidence and Resilience – developing the courage to lead, persevere and learn from challenges.
- Belonging, Service and School Pride – contributing positively to the community and taking pride in making Barham an even better place for everyone.
Leadership is about listening and lifting others, reflecting our Christian ethos of service, compassion and respect.
